We say goodbye to you at the end of 2022.

Important information for all GPS Triangle League and Soaring League users and fans, we are saying goodbye to you at the end of 2022.

When we started the project over 8 years ago, our motivation was to be able to make the flights and achievements in model gliding more visible to a wider public. Because in this way we were able to promote model gliding with our skills and what we offer.

This spring Andrej Vrecer of RC-Electronics contacted us  to share his plans for a new online platform. His ideas and solutions will technically represent another step into the future.

We then had a very detailed exchange within the team, but we always agreed on one point, that we want to stay true to our motivation of advancing model gliding. In our opinion, it would be detrimental to the development of GPS model gliding if a battle for participants were to develop between several online platforms and pilots were to spread out over several locations. Therefore, we have come to the conclusion that we will end our project at the end of 2022 to make way for the new RC Modelspot platform.

The GPS Triangle Contest Eurotour team, who have been using our platform for competitions for many years, have also signalled early on that they will be using RC Modelspot from 2023. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for the many years we have spent together in GPS Triangle Sport. Not only were we able to offer a presence to the many smaller local competitions, but in 2019 l we were also able to evaluate the GPS Triangle World Masters via our website. This was a highlight for us as it allowed fans at home to see the results shortly after their pilots landed. And together with the possibility to view and analyse the flights in more detail, a step forward in terms of transparency and fairness was achieved. This success  redefined the standards for onsite event evaluation in GPS Triangle Sport.

A very big thank you also goes to all the sponsors who have faithfully supported us  over a long period of time, enabling us to ensure that the platform has always been accessible to pilots free of charge.

And finally, thanks also go to all the pilots around the world who have used the platform over the last few years, making its success possible. More than 2,000 registered pilots and around 15,000 flights in the current year alone have been a great motivation for us to do all this for free in our spare time.

We are already looking forward to 2023, when we will run into each other again on RC Modelspot and can develop our wonderful hobby together on the new platform.
